Dreamforce 2023 Recap: Taking Salesforce to the Next Level with AI, Data, and Integration

Welcome to Dreamforce 2023!

Dreamforce 2023 has come and gone, and it did not disappoint! The conference was jam-packed with exciting product announcements and insights into where Salesforce is going. From the role AI will play in Salesforce, to the future of Salesforce solutions for specific industries, to how Argano can help you be successful deploying AI and Industry Clouds for Salesforce, this article offers a recap of Dreamforce 2023 and the exciting new possibilities it has unlocked for Salesforce users.

Announcing Einstein 1: Data, CRM, and AI

Dreamforce kicked off with a keynote delivering an overview of exciting new features coming to Salesforce. Attendees were given a glimpse into how AI functionality, integrated directly into Salesforce workflows, can impact their businesses with the announcement of the new Einstein 1 Platform. According to Salesforce, this platform “gives companies the ability to safely connect any data to build AI-powered apps with low-code and deliver entirely new CRM experiences.” The possibilities that this platform enables are endless. Here are a few examples to illustrate how you can integrate its functionality into your everyday work streams:

  • Generate Flows and Apex from language prompts
  • Create Test Classes for Apex Classes
  • Develop content for emails from language prompts
  • Produce summaries in Slack/or from phone calls tailored to the audience reading them (e.g. “Summarize the financial information from this call for the accounting team.”)

Getting your head in the Cloud: Data Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud

The star of the show at Dreamforce 2022 – Salesforce Genie – was relaunched under a new moniker “Data Cloud” at Dreamforce 2023. At its roots, Data Cloud is a data lake built on AWS with native connectors to most Salesforce products/applications. It enables users to aggregate data from several different sources to optimize reporting, customer-driven insights, and overall CRM experience. In addition to introducing Data Cloud, Salesforce also announced that customers using Enterprise or Unlimited Editions of Salesforce will now be able to get Data Cloud (for up to 10,000 profiles) and two Tableau Creator licenses for free!

Continuing from previous years, Dreamforce once again showcased the power of Community Cloud by providing resources such as Lightning communities and Trailhead modules for developers looking to create engaging digital experiences for their customers or partners.

Finally, upgrades to Marketing Cloud were discussed such as the integration of Automation Studio with Journey Builder and Predictive Intelligence features that enable marketers to segment audiences more effectively for targeted campaigns.

Overall, Dreamforce 2023 provided invaluable insight into what Salesforce has in store for its users in 2024 and beyond and we can’t wait!

What’s next? It’s all about AI

The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in Salesforce is becoming increasingly prominent as the company continues integrate AI across all its products and associated workflows. AI was the headliner of Dreamforce 2023 where attendees were able to get a better understanding of how it can help them take their business to the next level.

AI has already been integrated into many aspects of Salesforce, from customer service to marketing automation. With AI-powered insights, companies can gain valuable insights into customer behavior and preferences. This allows them to make more informed decisions and create better strategies for reaching their target audiences.

Salesforce also offers AI-enabled features that allow users to automate certain tasks, such as creating personalized experiences for customers or using data science algorithms to improve their products or services. This helps companies save time by automating mundane tasks and freeing up resources for more important matters. It also allows them to focus on what really matters – providing value to their customers.

Another key benefit of integrating AI with Salesforce is its ability to predict future trends and outcomes based on historical customer data. By leveraging predictive analytics, companies can identify potential opportunities or threats before they arise and respond accordingly to maximize profits or avoid potential pitfalls.

Finally, Salesforce’s new Einstein 1 Platform provides access to powerful machine learning (ML) capabilities that help businesses make smarter decisions faster than ever before. The platform enables teams across departments to quickly develop custom models tailored specifically for their organization’s unique needs. This helps increase efficiency and reduce costs associated with manual data analysis processes while also creating an advantage over competitors that haven’t yet adopted or integrated AI and ML into their customer-facing interactions and processes.

Overall, it’s clear that artificial intelligence will continue to play an integral role in helping businesses succeed with Salesforce in the years ahead thanks largely in part to the groundbreaking AI-enabled solutions unveiled at Dreamforce 2023.
